I finally had to write them down and check them off as I went. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. I am NOT a computer geek, so my computer skills are limited. I did a regular scan when this problem started and as I recall, a couple of adware programs came up which I removed, but the problem persists. Naturally the Dell warranty expired a long time ago so I can't depend on Dell either. That would scare me to death, and the fact that Win XP is no longer supported by MS is not helpful. I'm beginning to think a file in Win XP got corrupted and sure hope I don't have to reinstall Windows XP. I'm using Win XP Home Edition SP 3 on a Dell computer. I've spent hours searching online help to no avail. I've used this computer for years and the Print Screen function worked until recently. I was hoping it was just something wrong with the keyboard, but I just tried two other keyboards and the same thing happens. I tried updating the keyboard driver using the Wizard on the computer and it said I already had the right driver. That was weeks ago so I wouldn't want to do that now even if I could. I tried restoring the System to a prior date, but kept getting message that System couldn't be restored to prior date, so gave up on that approach. I've tried all the recommended keyboard combinations. The Clipboard just remains blank, or has whatever text I last copied and pasted onto it. The Print Screen key won't capture the screen and put the contents on the Clipboard. Several weeks ago my Print Screen function quit working.
